As the sole UI Visual Designer for Medaxial (now Covance), I worked alongside six programmers, as a team we developed tailor-made products for a high-end pharmaceutical client base; sales communication, e-learning and educational tools. Each product was unique, some products required the inclusion of existing brand, others required creation of a sub-brand for the project. After client consultation and, if necessary, consideration of brand guidelines I would wireframe several design options. Within each design I ensured the incorporation of a clear user journey, the promotion of interactivity and user-centric methodologies.
The main languages used by the programmers to develop each module were C+, Java, and HTML, enhanced with JavaScript, PHP and CSS, therefore part of my role was to have a clear understanding of the capabilities or limitations of each language and how that would influence and affect functionality.
